Lasswell, Mary, papers, 1880-1984.

Concerns the literary career of Mary Clyde Grayson Lubbock Lasswell Smith, popular novelist and biographer, known particularly for her books in the "Suds" series. She was editorial columnist for the Houston Chronicle for five years and also wrote for other publications. Her articles on the rehabilitation of alcoholics and on cystic fibrosis were of great public interest, and her book I'll take Texas called attention to areas in Texas such as Padre Island and the Big Thicket.
